In the past we have managed an Initiative Grant Scheme, which was funded by Aberdeenshire Council Kincardine & Mearns Area Committee.

Grants of up to £1,000 under this scheme were available to support community groups in Kincardine & Mearns which had a focus on supporting sustainable development.

This may have been economic, social, cultural or environmental. If related to larger schemes they could have been for project start-up costs to help groups bring a project idea into reality. 

Involvement in the grant scheme has had to be suspended due to lack of resources, however we are still able to offer support, advise and help with the development of project aims, management and making the most of the skills and experience within communities to progress projects.

LEADER  Funding

LEADER is a major programme of European and Scottish Government funding to support development for rural communities. We are members of the LEADER Aberdeenshire Local Action Group (LAG) and Cairngorms National Park LAG, helping to make decisions on funding from these schemes. General Funding Advice
